626 Basic Specialties - Chicago
0 TO 18 hours. The specialty course consists of one two-week specialty in the M-3 year and eight in the M-4 year. The disciplines are Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Emergency Med, Neurology, Ophthalmology (1 week), Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology, Radiology and Urology. May be repeated to a maximum of 18 hours. Students may register in more than one section per term. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the third year of the Doctor of Medicine program at Chicago for the first two-week component and enrollment in the fourth year of the Doctor of Medicine program at Chicago for the remaining eight components. Additionally, each department may require clinical prerequisites to be completed.

653 Neurology Specialty - Chicago
2 hours. Taught at various affiliated hospitals, provides students with information on how to perform a neurological history and examination so that common neurological diseases may be recognized. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the Doctor of Medicine program - Chicago and completion of the M2 year and M3 standing.
