209 The Art and Archaeology of the Ancient Near East
3 hours. Introduction to the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia and neighboring regions from the first settled villages of the early Neolithic to the Persian conquest of Babylon. Same as AH 209. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or above.

210 The Art and Archaeology of Ancient Egypt
3 hours. Ancient Egypt from 6000 BC-400 AD. Architecture, sculpture and painting in their social and historical contexts. Same as AAST 210, and AH 210. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing. Creative Arts, and Past course.
